When we moved into this trailer, we got a tub with a Twist and Turn drain stopper. How was I supposed to stop hair from traveling down? So I used a sink strainer upside down on the stopper. I thought it was working but it didn’t! We easily began to get plugged up.

DRAINO – So I got Draino. But it only worked temporarily, and I wasn’t about to buy Draino every month here!

WEASEL – I then learned about the Weasel stick, which grabs hair and we can pull it up. Wow that solved the problem right there!

After two years into this new trailer, the stopper broke off because it was rusted! We did use the master bath the most, but still. I called my dad and without taking the entire tub apart to put a new one in, there is no other way to fix it. After looking at the hole for a few minutes, I decided to look up any drain stopper to put on top of it for hair and baths.

I found one! Silicone stoppers. It has been working great! No more flooding, because the stopper grabs the hair very well. It holds water great for baths, but with usage, it will pop up easily if the child steps on it.

So in a sense, I guess the Twist and Turn stopper breaking was a blessing in disguise! If the stopper never broke, I would still have flooding issues.

Side Note: The sink began acting up recently. I tried the weasel, but it still kept flooding. Husband pumped the stopper which helped, but not for long. I finally used Draino and it is fine now. My husband said it is all the muck build-up, so we would need to go underneath the sink and open the pipes to clean it out! Yikes! Stand by!
