When I was beginning to analyze my style, I ran across different sites that showed a list of the different style personalities that they have concluded. The list of styles were always a little different and had different names, but were generally the same. It even added extra ones to suit body types too.
Here is a list of the general ones I have come to understand the most:
Dramatic, Natural/Sporty, Romantic/Feminine, and Classic.
The Natural/Sporty type is obvious for me. But it had extra definitions that didn’t fit. One thing it did mention in my search was “simple lines,” and that resonated the most along with the popular term, “comfortable.” Inside I am a Romantic Type, but on the outside I dislike fussiness with my clothes! I have other things I would rather do than deal with my outfit all day! I wish I could handle the fussiness because I love the Romantic Style, but I just naturally don’t.
I really wonder if I wore dresses in the Victorian Era in a past life, because when I grew up watching Disney movies and seeing the balls and gowns, I really connected with that and loved wearing dresses as a child. But that changed when I entered society aka school and compared myself to my peers. But even if that is a little sad, I have come to realize, I feel comfortable in pants! They make me feel confident. Dresses and skirts make me feel vulnerable, therefore I can wear them in the comfort of my own home! I would wear dresses when everyone else would, like weddings, dances and parties.
So under this topic, the Natural Style Personality fits me in this lifetime. Check out these fashion personality types! It is really fascinating and can even help you learn about yourself in a whole new light!
