TOOTHBRUSH – I now buy bamboo brushes with different colored brushes so my husband and I can tell them apart. I have never liked the cups we put toothbrushes in because they get dusty and dirty and gross over time! So I found silicone suction holders that I stick on the mirror and they hold the brushes well! I just flick the water off my brush before putting it on. Feels so clean!

TOOTHPASTE – We can make our own toothpaste, which I would love to do, but my husband and I have sensitive teeth. I don’t know what is needed to help sensitive teeth, so I get the cheapest paste I can find. But lately I have been seeing the little symbol on the tube that says I can recycle it! That is so exciting! I go between the brands I grew up knowing: Colegate and Crest.

FLOSS – Ever since I went to the dentist last, the doctor said that because I am in my 30s, it’s a good idea to floss daily because I am getting older. Jeez, it just goes downhill from here. So I floss once daily! My husband always used the plastic floss picks. I didn’t like it because it is wasteful plastic! But looking up online, there are options for biodegradable floss picks AND reusable. I am gonna try them!

MOUTHWASH – I was using ACT because the dentist says it helps prevent cavities. It uses a plastic bottle and costs a lot. I wasn’t really into mouthwash, but I know its effect can be good for the mouth after brushing and flossing. But one thing at a time! Maybe down the road there might be one I can make instead of buying.

DENTURE CLEANER – This I HAVE to get for my retainers. I was cleaning it before with toothpaste and my brush, but it still built up plaque. So the dentist said to use the denture cleaner. I use the retainers every other day, as to not use up the cleaner, because they are a little pricey.
